I first encountered Patrick in the St. Augustine dormitory at Benedictine College during our freshman year. My initial impression of him was that he was a true gentleman, unlike anyone I had met before. He was polished, articulate, focused, driven, stylish, and overall, a good person. Patrick has not only maintained these qualities over the years but has also evolved into an even finer gentleman.

"A Gentleman's Guide for Winning in Business & Life" encapsulates the essence of Patrick as a man. While he doesn't directly discuss himself in the book, I can see PC’s character in every idea presented. One that stands out to me is, "the difference between dreams and reality is action." It's evident that Patrick's focus and determination have led to the creation of this book, a testament to his life mantra: “In pursuit of leading an exceptionally unordinary life.”

I intend to share this book with my three sons, daughter, and all my friends. I believe it's important for my family and friends to understand and appreciate the proper conduct of a gentleman and how it can pave the way for success in both your personal and professional lives. I must emphasize my daughter Maggie's importance here; it's essential for her, and frankly all young women, to truly understand the difference between an ordinary man and a gentleman. My hope is that this book will serve as a guide when she first meets the love of her life someday.

I encourage you to read, absorb, implement, and pass on the timeless lessons Patrick has imparted to us. I, for one, will utilize his shared wisdom to refine myself as a man, gentleman, and business leader.
